REGENERATIVELY FARMING HAIRY COWS & WOOLY PIGS IN HARMONY WITH NATURE
Permanent pasture is defined as land used to grow grasses or other herbaceous forage naturally by self seeding, or through cultivation or sown seed, and is not included in crop rotations for at least 5 years.
Leaving land in permanent pasture, especially in steep fields and valleys like we have here in Devon, can contribute to reduced erosion and soil loss, especially during periods of heavy rain fall. Our mission is to create a species rich and diverse pastureland, offering up a diverse diet of mixed nutrients for our livestock, as well as improving diversity required for ecosystems & wildlife to thrive. All of the permanent pasture our livestock graze is either fully Soil Association organic certified or in a process called 'conversion'. This means our land is not fully organic certified yet but we are adhering to organic standards while the conversion process takes place to heal our soils.
All of our highlands are pasture for life certified boosting our passion for pasture grazed livestock.
