Permanent pastures is defined as land used to grow grasses or other herbaceous forage naturally by self seeding, or through cultivation or sown seed, and is not included in crop rotations for at least 5 years.
Leaving land in permanent pasture, especially in steep fields and valleys like we have here in Devon, can contribute to reduced erosion and soil loss, especially during periods of heavy rain fall. Our mission is to create a species rich and diverse pastureland, offering up a diverse diet of mixed nutrients for our livestock, as well as the diversity required by wildlife for them to thrive.
Don't hesitate to order, we are a relatively small farm with a limited amount of meat to sell each year. To order call Amelia on 07803 594973, if meat is unavailable we can add you to our waiting list.
