REGENERATIVELY FARMING HAIRY COWS & WOOLY PIGS IN HARMONY WITH NATURE
Regenerative agriculture or regenerative farming, describes farming and using livestock grazing practices that, among other benefits, reverse climate change by rebuilding soil organic matter and restoring degraded soil biodiversity - resulting in both carbon drawdown and improving the water cycles.
This is not to be mistaken for re wilding which is a totally different concept which primarily does not include livestock grazing or has no intent to produce meat from the finished carcass
The loss of fertile soil and biodiversity, among with the loss of indigenous seeds and knowledge, pose a very real threat to our future survival. We believe it is our duty as caretakers over our acreage to ensure we are farming in such a way that not only preserves, but improves the quality and quantity of fertile arable topsoil of our farm. We could talk about how we do this until the cows come home, literally, but in short we embrace a few critical practices that enable us to do this, including holistic planned grazing, agroforestly, no-till, and silvopasture.
To enhance our passion for a regenerative approach we are registered with the Soil Association as organic farmers for all our land & highland cows. Alongside this we have taken our accreditations further by being Pasture For Life Certified.
