REGENERATIVELY FARMING HAIRY COWS & WOOLY PIGS IN HARMONY WITH NATURE
Regenerative agriculture or regenerative farming, describes farming and grazing practices that, among other benefits, reverse climate change by rebuilding soil organic matter and restoring degraded soil biodiversity - resulting in both carbon drawdown and improving the water cycles.
The loss of fertile soil and biodiversity, among with the loss of indigenous seeds and knowledge, pose a very real threat to our future survival. We believe it is our duty as caretakers over our acreage to ensure we are farming in such a way that not only preserves, but improves the quality and quantity of fertile arable topsoil of our farm. We could talk about how we do this until the cows come home, literally, but in short we embrace a few critical practices that enable us to do this, including holistic planned grazing, agroforestly, no-till, and silvopasture.
Firstly you must understand that Jason & myself view our livestock as more than a numbers game which we are trying to profit from. Our animals are respected individuals each with their own personality. We are the type of farmers who vow to know who each individual cow is and who their mother was without having to look at their eartags
